Why to Meditate daily ?

Well, there is an outstanding noise around this silent topic in this noisy world.

As the Yoga day appears people go 'gaga' and there is an avalanche of videos and all sort of 'yoga-oriented' stories on social media. But what after that, how many of us actually accept Yoga as something significant to be included in our daily life.

OK, before moving ahead, lets first understand that why this concept of 'Yoga & Meditation' deserves more attention than what we are offering right now. If we look at the point from where our race is coming, we will see that this concept is not all new, in fact it was the foundation of the pedagogy of our forefathers.

Yes, the pedagogy that we had adopted post westernization, completely neglected one significant aspect of human growth known as SOUL. If we go back just 500 years ago, the education system focused heavily on Yoga practises and various breathing techniques imparted by Yogic Gurus to their followers/students. Corollary, our ancestors had much better experience of human life, they were far ahead from us in every sphere of life. Let it be any thing ranging from life expectancy, technology or architecture they were just exceptional. We assume that human race is evolving, but what kind of evolution is this? Evolution stands for growth and sustainability, and not for disease and vulnerability.

I firmly believe that negligence of soul is the single factor, that is responsible for the deterioration of human race which we are witnessing today. Just look around the globe, issues such as obesity, stress, failing relationships, diminishing health and life expectancy, dependency on medicines and much more have become the most common elements which people have gracefully accepted as their reality.

'Negligence of soul' what this phrase actually means? The experience we have as a human being is the result of the equilibrium between three key elements, i.e Body, Mind and Soul. The modern education system or pedagogy lays weighted importance body and mind in the form of basic education and sports but have completely neglected the connecting link of mind and body, hence this negligence of soul or we can say the connecting link is the root cause of all the suffering we experience in short and sweet life,

Here comes the role of MEDITATION, as it happens to be the most simplistic tool to get the life back. Meditation helps you to sit and restore what all you have lost in your mind. The breath that we take in and release out is actually the same 'link' which I have mentioned earlier. In our fast paced life  we have all the time for life, but not a single second to live. Not even for one single second in the entire 24 hours we are aware that we are breathing continuously, yet we assume that we are alive.

Meditation is nothing but a fragile realization that we are alive, that we are completely here in this present moment. No matter what is happening in the outside world, but inside you feel that stillness that complete you, that suffices your experience as a human being. You no more feel that inner discomfort that often compels you to ask yourself what you want in life. Meditation gradually makes you realize the joy of nothingness. The moment you sit straight, close your eyes and feel your breath going in and out gradually, you will be filled with nothingness, as nothing will bother you in those moments, you are completely with your breath, the dear 'breath' which is keeps you alive every second 24*7*365 days.
